Al Byers is the Assistant Executive Director of Government Partnerships and e-Learning at the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA) and has been at NSTA since May 2002. Dr. Byers holds a PhD in Curriculum and Instruction in Instructional Technology from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. He serves in a strategic capacity with government agencies, state and local departments of education, university, and education foundations to collaborate on high-quality blended professional development solutions, resources, and opportunities (on-site, on-line, synchronous, and asynchronous) for science educators across the United States.
