Over the history of educational technology in U.S. schools much has been said and done to persuade teachers to make use of micro-computers, laptops, the Web, Web 2.0, and most recently mobile devices. While there are teachers in our schools who are doing a great job using ed tech to energizing learning in their classroom, the use or non-use has been generally optional for teachers. So the effective use of connectivity varies from classroom to classroom. The fundamental premise of this webinar is that being connected is a necessity for our teachers in order to provide what our kids need to know and be able to do in their lives now and in the future. This webinar will consider questions such as: What does being connected mean?; What role does connectivity play in the work of teachers?; What are the factors that constrain connectivity and what can be done to ov ercome the constraints?
