Join us for a series of online mini-workshops designed to introduce participants to key topics in Balanced Literacy. Created and moderated by veteran teachers, each mini-workshop runs for six days. Participants will be introduced to practical and theoretical aspects of balanced literacy, engage in guided discussions, and work collaboratively to solve real-world problems. Participants will walk away with new skills and actionable insights that they can apply to their own classrooms.

The four courses in the series are:

1. A Balanced Approach to Literacy
2. The Reading Writing Connection
3. Struggling Readers, RTI, and Differentiated Instruction
4. Accountable Talk and Student-Facilitated Discussion Groups

The courses do not need to be taken in sequence and participants are welcome to enroll in just one, several, or all four. Enrollment is limited to 45 participants per session (3 groups of 15.) Sessions will be run throughout August, with workshops running August 5 – 11, August 12 – 18, August 19 – 25, and August 26 to Sept 1st.

The workshops are developed by Elearninginnovation LLC., and are presented in conjunction with Aelearn, TIE and Educrates.
